Pretty Spaces :: Art Wall

I have been wanting to create an art wall in my house, just trying to decide on the perfect spot... the office or the living room? Both? When you start to create your art wall keep in mind that your art can be unconventional.  A pretty page from a magazine or calender, vintage book page, greeting card or scrapbook paper, even a blank canvas and some stamps or typography printed at home. Using inexpensive gallery frames mixed in with a few thrift store finds you can make your own art wall in 30 minutes for $30, and if you're after a more cohesive look a little spray paint can make all of your collected frames white.  The great thing about a gallery wall is that you can add to it over time and switch out prints depending on the season or mood. Here are some (stunning) real life art walls for inspiration, found on flickr.

ohh, look at that. Thanks for the shout. Funny enough, we are going through a few renovations and I'm also putting together a real art wall. Imagine :)

This is really fantastic! Now I am even more motivated to put my art back up on the workroom walls...but I'll rethink what I have, with what I want to add to it for a whole art wall! Love this!

Wonderful ideas! I keep trying to make an art wall or family wall but my frames are tippy and crooked all the time. I need to hang them so they don't shift! Love your blog. Can't wait to see what you're up too next. :)
